Over the past decade, I have been working with people to help better understand their story and to help them manage their pain and suffering. Since 2013, I have been a Registered Social Worker, working with individuals with mental health, addictions and history of trauma. My desire is to be present with individuals to help them be seen in the context of their story; with the hopes to connect them with their own strengths to move forward. My name is Carole Moss (she/hers), and I come to therapeutic practice later in life. My lived experiences in oncology, pediatric rare disease, gender-affirming parenting and complex diagnoses were the catalysts to my becoming a registered social worker. I value person-centred approaches to therapy that are rooted in the stories, metaphors and imagery of our lives. I’d describe my approach as relational and relaxed. I draw from modalities including narrative therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and grief models that focus on self-compassion and meaning-making. I hold a B.A. in psychology, M.A. in social justice and equity, and an M.S.W. If you’re looking for a safe, authentic connection, reach out today to see if we’re a good fit.
